Application:

Nowadays, many large and medium size cities in the world are facing increasingly worsening situation of water shortage, especially urban underground water resource. The problem closely relates to extravagant consumption of water by domestic users and public users and management departments lack effective control means.

NEWSUN Heavy-duty water meter (Model A and Model B) have been developed for curing this problem.

Qs: Overload flow rate, the upper limit of flow rate under which the meter works. At such rate, the meter only works for short time.

Qp: Permanent flow rate, at such rate the meter can work for long time.

Qt: Transitional flow rate, at such rate the meter’s error limit changes.

Qmin: Minimum flow rate, the lower limit of flow rate under which the meter works.

Installation Guide:

l        Remote water meter and control valve (for Model A) must be installed horizontally and no inclination of dial face is allowed. Make sure “arrow” mark in the body follow direction of water flow.

l        Make sure water flow through the meter first and then the valve.

l        Straight pipe of certain length should be kept at both ends of the meter, as per respective requirements of different meters.

l        Pipes should be cleaned before installation.

l        Controller must be installed indoor or box, and kept away from rain, sunlight, dust, heat, extra humid, caustic gas and heavy shaking.

l        Case of controller must be grounded properly.

 

Ordering Information:

l        Identify the right size of water meter.

l        Generally remote water meter of LXS vane wheel type is offered. Special technical agreement will be signed for orders other than standard offering.

l        20 meter signal cable is provided for standard offering. In special cases, longer cable can be provided (max. 100 meters) as per requests.

Structure:

      Model A Heavy-duty water meter consists of:

  Meter controller

Remote meter (LXS vane wheel type, in blue color)

Control valve (in black and grey)

PC water vending management system.

Size ranges from Ф40-150mm.

Parameters of Controller

 

     Power supply: AC 220V (DC12V backup power supply for 72 hours)

     Power consumed: less than 10W

     Six digits LED:  all time display of remaining volume of water

     Minimum display unit: cubic meter.

 

Model B

         

Structure and Principle:

    Model B Heavy-duty water meter consists of:

    Meter controller (in grey)

    Remote meter (in blue)

    PC water vending management system.

    The controller consists of left box (circuit breaker) and right box (control circuit).

    PC management system transfers water purchase data to controller via IC card. The controller counters and accumulates signals from remote water meter, and change status (On/Off) of breaker according to volume of remaining water and line condition. Breaker is connected to power supply of water-using equipment. Thus prepayment function is realized.

    Under circumstances of normal water supply, user pushes on breaker’s handle to supply power. When purchased water tonnage is used up, breaker will turn off and cut power supply to water-using equipment. To prevent illegal water use, breaker turns off also when signal cable of the meter disconnects or breaks.

    Remote water meter adopts anti-dithering magnetic-sensitive remote transmission parts, which provide accurate and reliable counting and transmission of over 100 meters. It also adopts full-sealing structure and keeps normal working status when accidentally submerged in water.
